Discover Your Abilities Through Adaptive Golf
At Adaptive Golf Experience, our mission is simple yet powerful: to help individuals with physical challenges discover their abilities through the therapeutic and inclusive game of golf. We were founded to serve veterans and civilians across the Lowcountry. We believe golf is more than a sport—it’s a pathway to confidence, connection, and recovery.
Our Story
Since our start, the Adaptive Golf Experience has hosted free monthly clinics, annual Skills Challenges, and community events. Hundreds of participants have been welcomed. These programs are designed for individuals living with conditions such as:
- Spinal cord injuries
- Strokes
- Amputations
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Multiple sclerosis
- Joint replacements
Our clinics take place at The Legends Golf Course at Parris Island and other partner courses. Participants receive professional instruction, adaptive equipment, and the encouragement of a supportive community. Specialized carts like the SoloRider and Paragolfer, along with adapted clubs and grips, ensure that everyone can play safely and confidently.
Why We Do It
Golf offers unique therapeutic benefits. It improves mobility, fosters social interaction, and builds resilience. For many, it’s a chance to regain independence and rediscover joy in outdoor activity. Our goal is to create an environment where every swing is a step toward empowerment.
Get Involved
Whether you’re a veteran, a civilian with adaptive needs, or someone who wants to volunteer, there’s a place for you at Adaptive Golf Experience. Join us for a clinic, participate in a tournament, or support our mission through donations. Together, we make golf accessible for all.
